This series of panoramic drawings were made in Beijing during 2008. Every day for one month I immersed myself in the local community through drawing. Watercolour was then added upon returning to the U.K.

The images record the main streets of an area called Dong Ba. Like all streets in China this area is not covered by Google maps.

Dong Ba is situated in the North East of the city and had many buildings dating back over 200 years old. The area has since undergone massive redevelopment and very little of the biuldings seen here now remain.
